Album review: JT4tet sees the reunion of two musicians who worked together during the nineties under various names (The London Blues Band, Roogalator II and the original Grooveyard), Tim Richards and Jon Taylor. They have accompanied US blues artists Mojo Buford, Deitra Farr and British blues queen Dana Gillespie. They are joined by the bass and drums team of Andres (Andy) Lafone and Peter Miles.
The Greet will meet the Mississippi on Thursday, June 7th when the Gate to Southwell Festival brings some of the world’s best blues stars to town. Southwell Festival is set in Nottinghamshire, England and specialises in Folk and Roots music, however, this year they are dedicating Thursday evening to a Blues extravaganza with Nine Below Zero as the headlining act. UK Blues-rockers King King kicked off their 2018 Tour by playing their first ever headline show at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire in London in support of their latest album Exile And Grace. Frontman Alan Nimmo is back on form after some recent vocal problems and is out on the road again belting out his special blend of blues-rock anthems.
UK artist Laurence Jones is set to release his new studio album The Truth on Friday, March 9th 2018. To dovetail the release of his new album Laurence will start his nationwide tour at Londons' Borderline on Tuesday 23rd January. The LLO seek to distil the sounds of the ‘40s and ‘50s Rhythm & Blues and Blues, with their name coming from Bobby Bland’s 1961 hit “Turn On Your Love Light.

Three for the Road is the new live album out for the John Mayall Trio, featuring cuts from 2 exuberant concerts recorded live in Germany in 2017. The title is a nod to the trio format featured on Mayalls 2017 world tour, which includes longtime bassist Greg Rzab and drummer Jay Davenport. This is the sixth offering from the fruitful Mayall and Corne partnership.
